Dazzle, a gem at the National Theatre
Now on its 20th year, the Dazzle: Modern Contemporary Jewellery exhibition is once again on display at the London National Theatre, South Bank
“The show supports fresh graduates and professional jewellery designers. The exhibit is displaying a wide range of decorative pieces from its 81 makers chosen by Christine Bola and Tony Gordon”.
“Everything on display can be purchased right there and then, after purchase some of the jewellery is replaced with the same style or sometimes a new piece from the makers collection,” says Susana, a member of the staff at the National Theatre.
If you are looking for modern, limited edition, and contemporary metal art work, then the array of jewellery on display may cause a twinkle in your eyes. The designs are very unique, different and stylish.
The majority of the exhibited pieces are for ladies bored of the same jewellery everyone seem to have! This exhibition is ideal for finding that particular one in a million piece.
The range of shapes, colours, textures, surfaces, materials (gold, silver, fabric) and not to mention sizes is suitably vast, and fear not lads, there also is a small collection of men’s handcuffs, in different colours and price tags too.
Prices range from £12 to thousands of pounds. Dotted around the gallery this year are collections of wall prints from Scottish printmakers Anne Forte, Laurie Hasting and Gayle Robinson.
