Future Room Design Competition
A new competition is giving London students the unique opportunity to win £2,500 and a work placement with top architectural agency Superfusionlab.
Entrants will have to design the student home of the future for UNITE’s Future Room competition in collaboration with Blueprint, a leading magazine of architecture and design, and Superfusionlab architects.
Student accommodation provider UNITE wants designers to look ahead to 2050 and imagine how students will study, interact and socialise in the future while creating something to aid the university experience.
Blueprint acting editor Peter Kelly said: “We’re looking for the next generation of London’s student talent to inspire us with innovative designs. Ultimately, entries need to do what all great design does – be visually impressive, full of imaginative ideas and capture the attention of the wider public.”
Competition entries must be received by April 1. They will be judged by UNITE, Blueprint and Superfusionlab. The winner will be announced in April.
Entry Details:
- One or two A3 designs accompanied by 250 words of copy
- Designs can be sketched or created digitally
- Entries must be emailed to futureroom@unite-group.co.uk in JPEG format in low (72dpi) and high (300dpi) resolutions or posted to UNITE, 22 Endell Street, London WC2H 9AD by 5pm, March 22, 2010.
