The showcase, which opened on March 8 and runs until March 25, features 37 artists and gives them and their pieces exposure to a wider audience.

Those exhibiting were whittled down from over 600 entrants, and represent UAL’s very best in art, sculpture, photography, film, fashion and design.

A range of judges from the university and the creative industry were responsible for making the difficult decision.

They were: Sacha Craddock (New Contemporaries); Maggie Pinhorn (Alternative Arts); Helen Gimber (SU President); Abi Winder and Jayne O’Hanlon (UAL Curation and Exhibitions Society); Joseph Meegan (SU Events and Exhibitions Co-ordinator).

Some pieces are for sale, with Andrea Giulivi’s 600 Escorts the most expensive at £5,000.

Whether you can afford these artworks or just want a quick wander during your coffee break, XHIBIT 2010 is a wonderful collection of work from a set of talented UAL-based artists. We at artsLONDON news fully recommend it.
