LCC's Dean of Media suspended

Julien RodriguezJulian Rodriguez, the Dean of the Faculty of Media at the London College of Communication (LCC) has been suspended pending an investigation after allegations of gross misconduct were made against him, Arts London News can confirm.

Rodriguez, who onlookers said was “frog-marched” out of LCC on Friday afternoon, has been suspended on the instruction of the university’s Rector, Nigel Carrington, according to Sandra Kemp, Head of College at LCC.

In a statement to Arts London News, Kemp said: “In accordance with the UAL staff disciplinary code, I can confirm that Julian Rodriguez, Dean of the Faculty of Media, was suspended on Friday on the instruction of the Rector, pending an investigation into allegations of gross misconduct.

“No further comment will be made until the outcome is known.

“Arrangements for an interim management structure are in hand and I will be making an announcement on this later today.”

It has also been reported that Gary Naylor, associate Dean of Media, has resigned from his post, although no official confirmation has yet been received.
