Everybody is... | week three
Buying the iPad
Well not quite buying but really wanting to.
Maintaining its hold over the computing industry, Apple has recently launched the iPad.
Think of the best mobile phone you can get, make it a bit larger, add some extra features and you are beginning to get somewhere close to the iPad.
Set to be the best tablet-style computer for browsing the internet, reading and, of course, using Apple’s infamous “apps”. It’s like the epitome of cool, pretty much what people say every time Apple brings out a new product.
Watching brand-new Desperate Housewives
Desperate Housewives has recently returned for its sixth series and the inhabitants of Wisteria Lane are back ontop form.
The series opened with Mike and Susan’s (second) wedding, and as seems to happen every time a new series starts, there’s a new family on the street.
Desperate Housewives is one of those shows that is loved by all.
Shown on Channel 4 at 10pm, Wednesday nights have just got a whole lot more exciting.
Eating takeaways
With our post Christmas diets on the back burner and our get-into-shape-for-thesummer plan yet to be put into action, the last of the winter months signals the last of our indulgences.
Having starved ourselves silly for the whole of January we no longer feel guilty when looking at food products with a calorie content over 150.
Students love takeaways because they are easy, require no preparation and there’s no cleaning up.
Urbanbite.com can search for all the local takeaways in your area.
Going to see Precious
Precious, based on the novel Push by Sapphire, has been long awaited by critics and audiences alike.
Originally shown at the Sundance and Cannes film festivals in 2009, the film, which stars a make-up-less Mariah Carey and tells the harrowing story of a girl who has been impregnanted by her father, follows the way in which she copes with her ordeal.
It was thought that Precious may be too hard-hitting for the mainstream cinematic world but with exceptional reviews, it’s sure to be a hit.
