Your Views - Food served at your college
This week, we asked students for their views on the quality of food served in the canteen at their college.
"Last year the food was extremely poor. It always smelt amazing but once you tasted it, no matter what it was, chicken, fish or pasta; it all tasted the same - tasteless. Now that they’ve changed the cooks, the food is much better. I like that every Friday, they serve fish and chips. The vegetarian pasta is really good too."

Heleen Peeters, 20, BA Photography, LCC
"Food is overpriced. Drinks are way too overpriced. Why don’t they sell energy drinks? We need them in order to cope with our ridiculous schedules. Please have some consideration for our pockets – we are students."
Thomas Rambaud, 22, BA Architecture, CSM
"I love the sausage sandwiches! A heart attack on a plate seems to be the Hub’s signature dish."
Hanako Whiteway, 21, BA Fashion Photography, LFC
"The vegetables are completely raw, pasta is overcooked, all the dishes are completely unsalted and the variety is not appropriate. The food is getting worse and worse. The quality of the food is very poor for the price. Let us take the menu they serve around the corner to Boots who offer a meal, drink and dessert all included for a cheaper price."
Steph Dickinson, 19, BA Fashion Illustration, LCF
Tendai Msimang, 19, Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, Chelsea
"Living off a student budget I find myself not being able to afford the many cups of tea or coffee that I crave everyday, and lets face it, it's common knowledge that us art students tend to live off the stuff."
Richard Schembri, 19, FdA Production for Live Events and Television, LCC
"The sandwiches consistently suck because of stale bread, which is probably why the canteen is always empty. Camberwell does offer organic goodness but then again, that costs."
Richard Hirst, 23, BA Graphic Design, Camberwell
"The cafeteria is very good value for money – you get good service and atmosphere and great quality food. It’s somewhere where you can go everyday."
Joe Wright, 22, BA Fine Art, Wimbledon
"I am a vegetarian and they always serve fresh and nicely prepared vegetarian dishes; although the portions they give are tiny, but I don’t know whether I’m extremely hungry or being greedy."
Lydia Hughes, 23, BA Film and Television, LCC
